Telecoms Customers May Transfer Without Penalties: Ofcom

Good new for landline, mobile & broadband users who are often exasperated by unexpected price rises.

Many providers promise prices when selling contracts, but subsequently increase their charges, often with little warning.

Following 1000’s of complaints against many suppliers including Vodafone, BT, Sky and Virgin Media, Ofcom, the telecoms regulator, have decided that, from 23rd January 2014, mobile, landline &/or broadband providers now have to give customers at least 30 days notice of any price changes.

If the customers then decide to switch, they cannot be charged a penalty.

SimplyFone remain one of the few UK providers of telecom services that have no time-related contracts, allowing all clients the freedom to move at any given time, without notice and without incurring any penalties.
